You agree to:

- Maintain the security of your login credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable Use
Grato is designed to promote positive recognition and appreciation. You agree not to use the Service to:

- Post discriminatory, hateful, or offensive content
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the Service for unlawful or malicious purposes
- Attempt to access or disrupt systems or data not intended for you
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
4. User Content
You may submit content such as messages, recognitions, awards, or comments (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content, but by submitting it you grant Grato a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate and improve the Service.
You are solely responsible for the content you post.
5. Workplace Use Disclaimer
Grato is a recognition and engagement tool and does not replace formal HR systems, performance reviews, or legal workplace processes.
Employers are solely responsible for:
- How Grato is implemented internally
- Employment decisions or actions related to recognition
- Compliance with labor, employment, and privacy laws
6. Paid Features and Subscriptions
Some features may require payment or a subscription.
- Prices and features are disclosed before purchase
- Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
- You may manage or cancel subscriptions through your app store account
All payments are non-refundable unless required by law.
7. Privacy
Your use of Grato is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
8. Intellectual Property
All content and materials provided by Grato, including logos, branding, software, and design, are owned by Grato or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without permission.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required to do so by law.
You may stop using the Service at any time.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Grato is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific expectations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grato shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Grato in the past 12 months, if any.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the app or website.
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
